First Sentence:

Lord Nicholas Satyr lifted the dagger from the desk before him, anxious to have the task ahead complete.

Summary:

He had sworn to take a proper wife. He hadn't bargained on meeting his match...
Nicholas looks very much like what he is - the handsome, successful heir to a vineyard in Tuscany. But Nicholas is much more, for he is one of the last in an ancient line of satyr men. And the dying king of ElseWorld wants him not only to marry, but to wed one of the king's own daughters - a half-human, half-faerie woman unaware of her heritage. Nicholas won't shirk his duty to produce heirs to guard his race's legacies, but he never plans to make his bride his only lover. A satyr's sexual hunger and sensual skills are legendary. One woman will never satisfy him.
Or so Nicholas believes until he meets Jane. As spirited as she is fey, as beautiful as she is innocent, she is nevertheless determined to make her new husband hers alone - and she's eager for him to teach her every deliciously carnal secret he knows...

My Thoughts:
Okay, so this book was the first in a series that I'm uploading right after this. This book wasn't what i was expecting at all. It's a historical fantasy romance which I'm not really into. Jane is so cute! She is very innocent but once she finds out that her dear hubby might be cheating she pulls out all the stops and confronts him to teach him how to be his mistress while being his wife at the same time. Jane definitely didn't know what she was getting herself into. Dear Nicky taught her some naughty things but in my opinion they were a little tame.
I didn't like the side plot between Jane's aunt and her uncle. They had a little incestuous relationship but that didn't bother me. Her aunt was just so bitchy and evil. The aunt and her friends even had the audacity to have sex with a young man and each other and then kill him. That's just mean.
One thing I really enjoyed about this book was Jane when she was pregnant. Nicholas hadn't told her exactly how long her pregnancy would last (about a month) so she was super surprised when she started giving birth 8 months early. So funny.
My favorite sexual part of the book was towards the end when Nicholas and his brothers, Raine and Lyon, have to sleep with Jane in order to protect her from things coming out of ElseWorld. After reading the books I'm still confused about why they don't want little critters coming out but, that's just me. Anyways, Raine and Lyon have to sleep with her which she finds really weird but she enjoys it. Go Jane!
All in all, it wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't one of my favorite either.
On the back of the book it said "WARNING this is a REALLY HOT book"... Sorry, Elizabeth it's not THAT hot...
So... go to your local bookstore or order online just as long as you don't make this book full of forgotten pages.
